Almost all of our products are made from 100% cotton canvas. Here's how to show your products some love...

COTTON CANVAS

Spot Clean for Light Dirt:
Use a damp cloth and mild soap to wipe away small stains or dirt. Avoid harsh detergents or bleach.

Hand Wash or Gentle Machine Wash (if needed):
If a deeper clean is necessary, hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. You may also machine wash on a gentle cycle using cold water. Place the item in a laundry bag to help protect it during the wash.

Air Dry Only:
Reshape and hang or lay flat to air dry. Do not tumble dry- heat can cause shrinkage and damage the cotton fibers.

Keep It Dry Between Adventures:
Avoid leaving the product damp or wet for extended periods. Hang to dry thoroughly after walks in the rain or trips to the beach.

Store in a Cool, Dry Place:
When not in use, keep your dog’s gear out of direct sunlight and away from moisture to preserve the fabric and color.

LEATHER CARE

Leather is a natural material that develops character over time. Slight changes in color and texture are part of its charm and are to be expected with regular use. To extend the life and look of your dog's leather collar, please keep the following in mind:

Water Exposure: Leather and water don’t mix well. While occasional splashes are fine, prolonged exposure- especially to salt water- can speed up wear and cause the colour to fade or change. Salt water is particularly harsh and can be corrosive to leather.

Drying: If your collar does get wet, allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not use a dryer or heater.

Color Changes: With time and use, especially if the collar gets wet frequently, you may notice changes in the leather’s color. This is normal and cosmetic only- your collar’s strength and performance remain unaffected.

Not a Defect: Due to the active nature of how these products are used, aesthetic changes are not considered manufacturing defects. They’re simply a sign of adventure. Please take this into account when placing your order.

A Note on Durability

While we take great care to design and craft durable, good-looking gear built for adventure, it's important to remember that no leather accessory is completely indestructible.

Dog collars and leads naturally endure a lot of wear and tear- even during everyday use. Tugging, pulling, and exposure to the elements can all take their toll over time.

That said, we love to see signs of use- like softening, creasing, and marks- as these often add a lived-in character to the leather, reflecting the adventures you and your four legged friend have been on.
